Alarys Bar, St Paul


At 1830 hours the gambling meeting was called to order by VP Pat Sloan. The gambling manager then gave his report for March. A motion was made then 2nd to accept the report, passed. Lawful purpose expenditure, St Paul $193.90 (fee), 10% donation of $263.00 to
Highland Gymnastics, Easter Brunch (Moose Lodge 1088) cost of 105.93 check made out to Sams Club,
Request for donation to the Cottage Grove Strawberry Festival for $800. St Paul Public Schools for a school patrol picnic, $1000. A motion was made to approve the expenditures and lawful purpose requests, 2nd passed. Gambling manager then gave his budget for March.
LG1004 available for review, motion made then 2nd to accept the budget. Passed. The checkbook and bank statements were available for review.
A motion was made to adjourn, 2nd passed.

The general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. All lodge officers were present. Motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. She also reported that the 2nd half per capita payment was mailed in to National.
Gambling report was then given to the general membership. A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. Requests for funding were presented, motion was made to approve each item as given, 2nd passed.
The budget was presented. The motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed.
Merchandise, Rothecker said that new sweat shirt design was available.
Golf, still in need of help to run it, and getting donations.
State meeting April 20 was discussed. National conference was discussed.
New business, Rothecker suggested changes in our bylaws concerning gambling.
Proposed, Donations for a member of the FOP killed in line of duty be up to $2000. Non member up to $1000. Injured on duty, FOP member up to $1000, non member up to $500, officer in need, member, up to $500, non member Zero benefit, Law Enforcement Organizations that qualify under state guidelines, assistance not to exceed $1000, case by case basis, non Law enforcement organizations not to exceed $500.
Discussion was made on this and a motion was made by Jacobsen to adopt this as our standard, 2nd passed.
Discussion on our giving to LEMA, St Paul School Patrol, and FOP Foundation be continued at current levels as financial situation dictates. Motion was made then 2nd to adopt this rule also, passed.

Old business, Rothecker will be going to Police Week in Washington DC, he wont be at May meeting.
Good of welfare, good of the order none.

Next meeting will be at Alarys on May 13, 2009 1830 hours.
