At 1806 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. The gambling manager gave his report for March. Motion made by Sloan to approve the report was made then 2nd. (lg1004 available for review). A motion was made by Novak then 2nd to accept the budget, passed. Lawful purpose expenditures, no requests made at this time. Payment of a city fee to St Paul of $61.90, and City of Cottage Grove $58.12 to be paid. A motion was made then 2nd to pay the fees, passed. Discussion on the Oakdale DeMoris location, the city council tabled our request for a pull tab booth at that location. They are waiting to see if a local group wants the location before going ahead with our request. DeMoris in Cottage Grove should be closed by late June, this will greatly hurt our fundraising ability and subsequent donations to charities. With no further business a motion was made to adjourn the gambling meeting, 2nd passed.

1900 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Roll call of officers, all except the Sgt at arms was present. A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. Secretary Dalbec gave the treasurers report. We currently have in our account. The checkbook and bank statement were available for review. A motion was made then 2nd to accept the report, passed. Dalbec advised that membership cards for our new members were very slow to arrive. The national lodge is switching to a new computer system and that has delayed sending out the cards. They will be mailed out as soon as they are received. We have about 30 unpaid members at this time. Gambling manager Bjorkman gave his report to the general membership. A motion was made to accept the report, it was then 2nd passed. A motion was made to approve the budget for May, it was 2nd passed. A motion was made to pay the city fees, 2nd passed. No one had any requests for gambling. Bjorkman advised that we should look into getting our fees paid for a location change at DeMoris. The city of Cottage Grove is using eminent domain to close the bar and we may be able to ask for damages. A request to pay up to $500 for attorney consultation from the gambling account. Some discussion on this matter and then a motion was made then 2nd to approve $500. Passed. New business. Rothecker spoke to the group concerning Caliber Press and their Officer Survival course. Several FOP members helped them at the Mpls conference and they would like our Lodge to host it next time it comes to the metro area. He will be in contact with them concerning this. He also updated the membership on the results of the state conference. The state lodge had a very good turnout of members from lodges across the state. With no further business, Old business. Golf. The Jerry Vick Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 30 at Oak Glen. The contract had been signed and a $500 down payment is to be made from the general account. We hope to see our members on the course. The check for Kyle Kaszynzkis family for $1000 is to be made out and sent to his wife. With no sickness and distress to report, a motion was made then 2nd to adjourn the meeting. Passed.
Next meeting is set for May 10, 2006 at the SSP VFW.
