At 1800 hrs President Bjorkman called the gambling meeting to order. Present were Nick. Wasylik, R. Dalbec, and D. Collins, D. Bjorkman, D. Rodgers, C. Lutchen, F. Anderson, J. Huffman. J. Rothecker absent. Collins gave the gambling report for July. September budget. Motion made to accept the reports, passed. Requests for funding were presented. Park Wrestling golf tournament, $600, West End Professional Association golf tournament, $1000 (for college scholarships). Payment made to MN Safety Council, $500, and MPLS Police Federation $1,250. Motion made to send these items on to regular meeting, passed.


At 1900 hrsPresident Bjorkman called the regular meeting to order. Secretary's report. Minutes of last meeting given to members present. Motion made to waive reading of minutes, passed. Treasurer's report Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Gambling report, motion made to accept the September budget, 2nd, passed. Motion made to accept the gambling report, with corrections to be made by the accountant to the report, 2nd passed. Motion made to accept the funding request, 2nd passed. D. Collins resigned from the gambling manager position. Nick Wasyslik applied for the job and was hired. Motion made that his salary be per month. 2nd, passed. Starting date September 1, 2002. Old business, Special Olympics is looking for volunteers to man their hospitality room at the upcoming IACP Conference in MPLS. Contact Fred Anderson at 651-731-8601 if you can help. It is the weekend of October 4th.New business; Lodge 6 is holding a spaghetti dinner October 18. Our lodge is having its annual booya at Alary`s on November 17. Contact Anderson if you can help. Good of the order, motion to approve $100 for memorial for F. Anderson`s mother in law who passed away. 2nd, passed. Memorial to be given to Normandale Lutheran Church. Motion to adjourn, 2nd passed. Next meeting is September 11, at O`Garas.
