1800 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by Rothecker. Gambling manager Bjorkman gave the report for July.. Motion by Sloan to accept the report and budget, 2nd by Huffman, passed. Bjorkman notified the group of a gambling conference in Duluth for November 18 through the 20th. Motion made to send two people to it, costs not to exceed $1400. Motion was 2nd and it was passed. Requests for funding were given Highland Park Athletic Association $1000, Milwaukee Public Schools, $500, and a required city donation of $736.94 for Cottage Grove. LG1004 form available for review. Motion made to approve and send it on to general meeting, 2nd passed. With no further business the meeting was adjourned.

1900 hrs President Rothecker called the general membership meeting to order. Motion was made to waive reading of last month's minutes, 2nd passed. Secretary Dalbec gave the Treasurers report. We currently have in our account. Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Bjorkman gave the gambling report. Motion made by Huffman to accept the report, 2nd by Sloan. Passed. Motion made to accept the budget, 2nd passed. Motion made to approve the gambling requests as given, 2nd passed. Huffman spoke on the upcoming Special Olympics Draft Party on Oct 19. A donation was discussed and Bjorkman will be in contact with Special Olympics concerning it. Dalbec suggested a $10,000 donation, which would include the Polar Bear Plunge and the Draft Party. It was tabled to the next meeting. Secretary Dalbec notified the group of the need for a new computer for our lodge. Expenditure of $400 plus miscellaneous cost was approved. Two golf tournaments were discussed. The Chedderhead and the Hastings Police Officers Association were approved for sponsorship of $100 each, total of $200. Motion made to approve it and 2nd, passed. The National Convention will be held in New Orleans next year, the first week in August. The State Lodge will be paying the cost of all delegates to attend. Anyone wishing to be considered to be a delegate from Lodge 1 should e-mail Secretary Randy Dalbec at MNFOPLODGE1@aol.com to be placed on the list. With no further business the meeting was adjourned. Next meeting will be Sept 6, at Ogara`s in St Paul.
