Lodge 1 Meeting
Alary`s Bar, St Paul

At 1800 hours the gambling meeting was brought to order by President Rothecker. Gambling Manager Bjorkman gave his report for November, 2006. A motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Budget for January was presented (lg1004 available for review),. All items were approved and sent on to the general membership meeting. Bjorkman reported on having some issues with employees. Bjorkman will continue to work with them to correct the problems discussed. A motion was made to approve paying of City of St Paul tax of $130.13, 2nd passed. Motion was made to pay $102.02 to the 10% club, Boys And Girls Club of St Paul, 2nd passed. Motion made to approve $500 to Special Olympics LETR, 2nd passed. ($2000 more to be donated as funds are available.). Requests, Police Unity Tour for $1,500. This was tabled until next meeting. With no further business, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting, 2nd passed.

1900 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker, roll call of officers, all present or excused. Secretaries report, a motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. Secretary reported to the members that all renewal card notices have gone out. As of this date there are 174 members who have not paid. Treasures report, we have in our general account . The first half dues for the lodge had been sent in. The bank book and current statement were available for review. A motion was made then 2nd to accept the report, passed. Charitable gambling report was given by Don Bjorkman, a motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. A motion was made to pay the bills and donations, 2nd passed. New business, discussion on having graphics made up for our shirts to sell. There is a one time charge of twenty dollars for it. Rothecker will be setting up the lodge merchandise items. Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, Rothecker has spoken to the Applebee's at University and Snelling and they have agreed to host one for us. Applebee's supplies the establishment, food, and cooks for us without charge. We must make and sell the tickets and have people to sell tickets at the door and help with cleanup. It also must be on a Sunday from 0700 - 1000 hrs. This looks like a good way to raise funds for our lodge, it will be done in the spring. Old business, Golf Tournament. The Sgt. Jerry Vick golf tournament will be held at Oak Glen on May 29,2007, shotgun start at 0930 hrs. We will start getting donated door prizes or purchase them, make up tournament shirts for sale, and start sending out sponsor letters. The FOP Ball will be held on February 3, at the Kelly Inn at St Cloud. The lodge has been issued $125 in souvenir pins to sell. A motion was made that the lodge purchase the pins in the amount of $125, 2nd passed. (out of the general fund.) Don Bjorkman reported that the ringing the bell for the Salvation Army was done on November 25, the following donated their time to this good cause, Don and Pam Bjorkman, Melanie Dalbec, Lori Becklund, Cory Slifko, and Tom McCluney. Thanks to you all for your efforts for Salvation Army and Lodge #1. Good of the order, The lodge is celebrating its 15th year by issuing 15 year pins to the original members who signed our charter. Those members who attended this meeting will be given the pins and the others will be mailed to them. A plaque was given to our founder, Fred Anderson, who started the FOP in Minnesota. After the meeting a BBQ will be held. Our thanks to Al, owner of Alary`s , and his employees for providing our lodge with free beverage and service for the event . With no further business a motion was made then 2nd to adjourn until January 9, 2007 at Alarys, 2nd passed.
