Lodge meeting minutes



President Rothecker called 1800 hrs the gambling meeting to order. Present were Rothecker, R. Dalbec, Dan Collins, R. Novak, Fred Anderson, D. Bjorkman. Gambling Manager Bjorkman gave the gambling report for January The check register was available for review. Motion to accept the report made and 2nd, passed. Budget for March. LG1004 available for review. Motion made and 2nd to accept the budget, passed. Motion made to pay the following fees, City of St Paul $83.55, City of Cottage Grove, $1002.85, 10% donation to a St Paul charity, Mt Airy Boys and Girls Club, $50. Motion 2nd and passed. Request for funding, Special Olympics for FOP plunge participants, $1200, Crime Stoppers $300, Park Hockey $500, and Heart and Soul Festival, amended to $250.Motion made to approve the requests, 2nd passed. Bjorkman requested approval for $1,100 for a new scale for Alary`s booth. Some discussion, motion made to approve and 2nd passed. Motion made to make early payment for the Veterans Camp of $5000, this would clear up the April / October payment and clear our books. 2nd, passed. With no more business for the gambling committee a motion was made to forward the requests and gambling report onto the general membership meeting, 2nd passed. Meeting adjourned at 1856 hrs.


1908 hrs the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. No President or Vice President reports were made. Motion made to waive reading of last month's minutes, 2nd passed. Treasurer Dalbec gave the lodges financial report and made the last bank statement and bankbook available for review. Motion made by Novak to accept the report, 2nd by Anderson. Passed. Bjorkman gave gambling report, motion made by Collins to accept the report, 2nd by Anderson. Passed. Motion made to accept the gambling budget for March by Anderson, 2nd by Novak. Passed. Motion made to approve the requests for funding and to pay the listed fees to the various cities, 2nd passed. Old business. Golf, discussion on the Law Men being involved. President Rothecker to contact the group and advise them that we will need $50 per sponsor that they provide to place a sign at the event. No one could recall any financial help that they provided for the event in the past. Discussion of the State Conference to be held at Craigens April 18 - 20. Motion made to pay for 5 delegates from our lodge to attend. Selected were F. Anderson, Huffman, Dan Collins, R. Novak and R. Dalbec. Some discussion concerning us providing a hospitality suite. With no further business motion made to adjourn, 2nd passed.
