meeting for approval made and 2nd, passed. Bjorkman also told us that the sales of pull tabs is down 40% from
last January. The minutes from last months meeting will be amended to show a payment of $750 to the Gambling Board
for license renewal. Motion made and 2nd to approve the amendment, passed. Meeting adjourned at 1839 hrs.
1900 hrs the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. No officers reports were given.
Motion made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. R. Dalbec spoke on the membership and our use
of email. More use of the email system to keep our members up to date. So far I have 101 members in the system
out of 270. If you are not getting emails from our lodge please send me your email address so you can be included.
(dubec@aol.com) Also , again members should be aware that the downtown ST Paul post office box is closed. Mail
should be sent to PO Box 2174, Inver Grove Heights MN 55076. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Dalbec
then gave the Treasurers report. Our last bank statement showed a balance. This was made available along with the
checkbook for review. No large outstanding bills. R. Dalbec also advised that the new lodge lap top computer is
now on line and paid for. Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed. New business, discussion on possible locations
for lodge meetings. The reason for moving the meetings between locations was an attempt to get more people involved
if the meeting was held in their communities. Since that result did not happen it was decided to look for one place
to hold our lodge meetings. Some discussion on this and a central location such as Gabes by the Park was suggested.
President Rothecker will look into this and advise us at the next meeting. Bjorkman gave us a report on the last
State Lodge meeting. The State Lodge is proposing a dues payment from each lodge of $7 per member. The reasoning
is that with new lodges coming on board that the state lodge will not be able to pay the per capita fee to the
national lodge for all the lodges in the state. After some discussion it was agreed that there should be some payment
from the lodges to the state lodge to help cover the cost. The state lodge cannot charge the new dues without it
being approved at the upcoming convention in April at Craguns. Our lodge will propose a resolution that a dues
increase should charge up to $3 per member, no higher. This could be reviewed on a yearly basis and changed if
need be. Motion made to approve the resolution, 2nd passed. At the state meeting there was some discussion on donating
to a fund raiser for Downs Syndrome. The state lodge will donate $1500, and our lodge would donate $1500. This
will be discussed at a later lodge meeting for approval. Bjorkman will be running for 1st vice president of the
state lodge and R. Dalbec will be running for SSgt at arms for the state lodge. The election will be held in April
at Craguns. Any lodge 1 members who want to go as a delegate should email President Rothecker. Old business, Bjorkman
gave the gambling report and a motion was made and 2nd to approve it, passed. Motion made to approve the budget
was made and 2nd passed. Motion made and 2nd to approve the lawful purpose expenditures as given, passed. A plaque
was made for Pleasureland RV to be given to them for their support of our lodge and the Polar Bear Plunge. The
plunge raised over $54,000 for Special Olympics. Golf, the annual event will be held at Oak Glen, May 31. Registration
form can be downloaded from our website, www.mnfop1.org. The contract was signed and a menu was decided on. A $500
down payment will be sent to the golf course. If anyone wants to help on the golf tournament or has someone who
will sponsor a hole, please let me of Jeff Rothecker know. The next meeting is set for March 9 at the So St Paul
VFW. With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 2035 hrs.
