1835 hours the gambling meeting was called to order. D. Collins gave the report for June, along with the August budget. Motion made and 2nd to approve the report, passed. Requests for funding were presented. Operation Lifesaver for $500, Dianna Butler (cancer) $250, Mpls Police Federation for fundraiser for East Side Station up to $2500, Harding High School Golf tournament(tabled) American Cancer Society Walk a Thon, $500. Motion made to send on to regular meeting, passed.
1921 hours President Bjorkman called the regular meeting to order. Motion made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. Treasurer Dalbec gave the lodges financial report. Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Gambling report given to members. Motion made to accept the report and budget, 2nd passed. Motion made to pay the requests with the following adjustments. Operation Lifesaver is approved for $500 with payment deferred to next month. Mpls police federation receives $1,250. Should the state lodge not match then issue another donation for same amount. 2nd to motion, passed.
Old business, discussion on the polar bear plunge. New business, our lodge will hold a booya sometime in November. Sickness and distress, none to report. Next meeting to be held August 14, 2002 at Alary`s in St Paul. Good of the order, meeting adjourned at 2030 hours.
