Minnesota FOP Lodge 1 meeting
July 9, 2008
Alary`s Bar, St Paul
1830 hours the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker.
Gambling manager Bjorkman was not present, excused. Assistant Gambling manager
Rothecker gave the report for June. A motion was made to accept the report,
2nd passed.. (lg1004 available for review). A motion was made to approve the
budget, 2nd passed.
Requests for donations, Masonic Cancer Center for $100, and Hastings Food Shelf
for $100. A motion was made then 2nd to approve these donations. City of St
Paul for a city fee of $63.93, motion made to pay this, 2nd passed. A motion
was made to send all items on to the general membership for approval, 2nd passed.
Meeting adjourned at 1856 hrs.
General membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker, all
officers present except for 2nd VP Novak who was excused.
Motion made to waive reading of last months minutes made then 2nd passed. Treasurer
Dalbec gave the report for lodge accounts. Account statements and bankbook were
available for review. A motion was made to accept the report,2nd passed.
Rothecker gave the gambling report to members present. A motion was made to
approve the report, 2nd passed. The budget was presented, a motion was made
to approve the budget as given, 2nd passed. A motion was made to approve payment
to St Paul, and to the two 501c3 organizations, 2nd passed.
Merchandise, a motion was made by Rothecker to pay ITC corp. the amount of for
clothing purchased by the lodge. It was 2nd then passed. Check number 2077 was
made out for that amount.
Old business, none.
New business, political endorsements. Endorsements for federal offices was discussed
and recommendations sent on to the state lodge.
Good of the order, none.
Sickness and distress, Brother Ed Rice passed away after a lengthy illness.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. A floral arrangement had been
sent on behalf of Lodge 1 to the funeral and a cash donation made to the Hastings
Food Shelf in his name.
With no further business a motion was made to adjourn until August 6th at Alarys for meeting and annual BBQ, 2nd passed.
