Minnesota FOP Lodge 1 meeting

June 18, 2008

Gambling meeting called to order at 1838 hrs by President Rothecker. Gambling manager Don Bjorkman gave his report for May. A motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. The budget was presented (lg1004 available for review), total budget for July. A motion was made then 2nd to approve the budget, passed. Requests for donations, BSA Troop $179, Breaking Free, $1000, Dennis Duggan Benefit $500, Pete Gebhart Benefit $200. City of St Paul for $121.53 (city fee).A motion was made to approve and send on to membership meeting was made then 2nd passed. With no further business a motion was made to adjourn gambling meeting, 2nd passed.

1900 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. All Officers were present except for Secretary Dalbec who was excused.
Treasurers report was given by VP Sloan. A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed.
A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed.
Gambling report was made to the general membership meeting by Don Bjorkman. A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. He then gave the budget report for July. A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. The requests for donations was read to the membership, all were approved item by item by voice vote.
Rothecker reported on merchandise sales and new items he wants to bring in.
Fundraising, pancake breakfast. Will consider looking into Cottage Grove or Hastings Applebee’s for fundraising.
Golf tournament, it appears that the fundraising effort raised for the event. A motion was made to donate from the golf profit $1000 for Breaking Free. This was 2nd, motion passed. Check #2076 was made out to Breaking Free for $1000, to be presented to the foundation.
Rothecker is again expressing the need for more help in running the event.

A motion was made to adjourn until July 9, and meet at Alarys. 2nd passed.
