1800 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Present were R. Dalbec, D. Bjorkman, F. Anderson, and J. Huffman. Bjorkman gave the gambling report for February. (LG1004 available for inspection). Motion to accept the report was made by Anderson, 2nd by Huffman, passed. Donation requests: Muscular Dystrophy for a Jail and Bail event, $250. Also a 10%donation to an St Paul charity, Parkway Little League, $50. Motion made to accept both donations, 2nd passed. Motion to approve paying St Paul tax, $157.75, City of Cottage Grove city mandated donation $1,599.25. Motion made and 2nd, passed. Some discussion on the Demoris pultab booth. The schedule for Demoris closing has been pushed back about three months so we should be able to keep the booth open until November of this year. Motion to close gambling was made and 2nd, passed.


1905 hrs President Rothecker opened the general membership meeting. Dan Collins and Mike Reuvers were now present. Motion made to waive reading of Secretaries minutes, 2nd passed. Dalbec gave the Treasurers report. Motion made to accept the report by Anderson, 2nd by Collins, passed. Bjorkman gave the gambling report. Motion made by Collins and 2nd by Anderson to accept the report, passed. Motion made by Anderson and 2nd by Huffman to pay the donations and fees, passed. Old business, golf. Collins gave the golf report. He is attempting to get hole sponsors for the event. Sponsor fee is $100 and a sign would be placed on the green. If anyone can help with a sponsor or with a door prize donation contact Dan Collins. Mike Reuvers spoke on behalf of the Lawmen group. They will provide a raffle donation worth $500, and donate up to $450 in door prize donations. They will also provide some on site help during the event. The discussion was very helpful in clearing up some problems and communication between our groups will be maintained. New business; Anderson spoke on the upcoming FOP convention at Craigens Resort. It is April 18 to the 20th. He made a motion to provide up to $500 to assist the Brainerd Lodge in setting up the convention. Some discussion and he received a 2nd by Huffman. Motion passed. Members who are going to attend at this time are President Rothecker, Secretary/Treasurer Dalbec, Danny Rodgers, R. Novak, D. Collins, and D. Bjorkman. There are two more openings. If interested contact R. Dalbec. Bjorkman reported that he received notification from the IRS of a problem with a 2001 tax return. There may be a penalty for the violation. He will update us at the next meeting. The fine would have to be paid out of our general account. Sickness and distress, nothing to report. No officer's report for this meeting. Motion to adjourn made and 2nd passed. Next meeting is April 14, So St Paul VFW.
