Lodge 1 Meeting
Moose Lodge 1088, IGH
At 1830 hours the gambling meeting was called to order. Gambling manager D.
Bjorkman gave his report for February. A motion was made to accept the report,
2nd. (lg1004 available for review). A motion was made to accept the budget,
2nd passed. Pre-approval of lawful purpose expenditures, City of St Paul $162.45,
BSA Troop 294 $335, a request for assistance for Tracy Flasher, who is undergoing
cancer treatment, $1000, St Paul School Patrol for $1000, American Diabetes
Association for memorial in the name of Genevieve Roberts for $100. With no
further requests a motion was made to approve the listed items and send them
on to the general membership meeting, 2nd passed. Meeting adjourned at 1856
hrs.
General membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker at 1900
hours. All officers were present. No officers reports were received at this
time. Secretaries report, a motion was made to waive reading of last months
minutes, 2nd passed. Treasurers report. There will be the 2nd half of per capita
due in May. All documents were available for review. A motion was made to accept
the report, 2nd passed.
Charitable gambling report was given to the members. A motion was made to approve
the budget, 2nd passed. The expenditures were each approved in line items.
Rothecker advised that he will be needing to order more merchandise for sale.
He brought up the idea of having a lodge one challenge coin made up and be used
to generate money through sales for the lodge.
The pancake breakfast for Applebee's in IGH was tabled after discussion. Applebee's
wanted to take a portion of the ticket sales for themselves, costing the lodge
money to put the event on. Another Applebee's will be approached for the event.
Golf tournament, Rothecker is still looking for volunteers to help obtain door
prizes. We will also be looking for volunteers to help out at the event. It
is May 27th, 7am at Oak Glen in Stillwater.
State meeting is April 20 - 22 in Brainerd. So far we have 7 members who will
be going.
New Business, Rothecker attended the National Presidents meeting in San Antonio
March 5-7. He will also be attending the Western States Conference in Kansas
City April 3-6 and going to Police Week in Washington DC May 11-16.
Old business, Rothecker attended the FOP Ball in St Cloud. The event had a low
turnout of lodge members. Some discussion on the future of the event.
With no further business, good of the order. It was reported that Lodge Brother Jim Roberts mother passed away, a $100 memorial would be sent in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
Next meeting will be at Moose Lodge 1088, 1830 hours on April 9, 2008. Motion to adjourn made then 2nd.
