Gambling meeting was called to order at 1830 hrs by VP Sloan. Gambling manager gave his report for February, 2009. Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Budget for April was given, motion to approve the budget was made then 2nd passed. (lg1004 available for review). Lawful purpose expenditures, City of St Paul fee $184, BSA troop 274 (10% donation) $126, LEMA (Law Enforcement Memorial Association) for $5000, Christopher Dewey, $500. Motion was made to approve the donations, 2nd passed.
Motion to adjourn was made then 2nd passed.
General membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. All lodge officers were present.
A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed.
Treasurer report was discussed. Motion made to accept the report, 2nd passed.
Gambling report was given to the membership. Motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. Motion was made then 2nd to approve the budget, passed. Gambling manager then gave update on gambling activity, he sold the mega bingo cabinet for the same price($300) that was paid for it. It has been deposited in the gambling account. Communication from Revenue concerning a math error in the December report. They corrected it and advised no further action required. The math error will need to be corrected in our data base, or it could affect our advertising calculation.
(we don’t advertise). Bingo at the Moose will most likely be discontinued for the summer months as low participation with players and unavailability of employees to operate it. It has not generally been a money maker for the gambling account anyway.
Moose Lodge is going to attempt to get their own gambling license back which would mean that our booth would be closed. This may occur by summer.
We will receive a unsold pull-tab refund (tax) for 2008 for the amount minus this months revenue tax of $187.38.
Communications for gambling, a thank you note from students who attend Camp Side by Side, and one from BSA Troop 174.
A motion was made to approve the requests for donations as given, 2nd passed.
The meeting was then temporally adjourned so that two FOP members who are running for office at state level could give a presentation. Tracy gave her presentation for running for State Trustee, and Joe Dotseth gave his presentation for running for 1st VP of State Lodge.
The lodge meeting was called back to order at 2130 hrs.

Golf, Rothecker needs help for getting door prizes.
