President Rothecker made a motion to donate $1000 to the Vick family. It was 2nd by Dalbec and gambling manager Bjorkman was directed to issue a check for that amount to the family. Our condolences and thoughts and prayers go out to Sgt Vicks family.

With no further business a motion was made and 2nd to adjourn the meeting and send all items on to the general membership meeting for discussion and approval. Passed.

At 1910 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. A motion was made and 2nd to waive reading of last months minutes, passed. Secretary Dalbec gave the financial report for the lodge. We currently have in our account. There are no large upcoming bills to be paid. Motion by Huffman, 2nd by Prail to accept the report, passed. A motion was made to pay the lawful purpose expenditures as given, 2nd passed.

New business, National Conference. The upcoming National Conference will be held in New Orleans the first week of August. Secretary Dalbec had received our credentials from national and we are allowed 6 delegates and one alternate to attend. The delegates will be President Rothecker, 1VP Pat Sloan, 2nd VP Rick Novak, Secretary Randy Dalbec, Sgt at Arms Jeremy Ellison, and Don Bjorkman. Lodge name, some discussion on having a lodge logo and a more distinct name . The name we currently go by is Minnesota Lodge #1. Our primary area is Ramsey, Washington and Dakota counties. Names suggested were North Star Lodge #1, Star of the North Lodge #1, or Capitol City Lodge #1. Whatever we come up with we will then look into having some shirts made up with the logo for sale to our members who wish to buy them.

Old business, golf. The golf tournament is set for May 31. We currently have 11 ½ teams signed up, in the golf account. We need another 9 teams to sign up for the break even point. We have 3 hole sponsors so far. Rothecker was looking into the trophies and will be purchasing more door prizes for the event. State Conference, Craguns. President Rothecker gave the membership a overview of what occurred at the conference. 1st VP Bjorkman lost his seat to Dave Miller, and Dalbec lost to Matt Hagen for the position of Sgt at Arms for the state lodge. Lodge one is not now represented on the state board. President Rothecker had asked that the state lodge consider being a hole sponsor for our golf tournament. This set off a very heated discussion among the other lodges and President Rothecker withdrew his request. The other lodges did not want any state money to go to lodge 1, even as a hole sponsor. The member of the year award went to State Trustee Chuck Schauss. Last year it went to State Board member Dave Miller. The dues to national are now $7 per member. The state lodge had been paying the dues for the lodges but now want each lodge to pay the full amount. A motion had been made to have each lodge pay for 2006 $3.50, then next year pay the full amount of $7 for 2007. Lodge 1 delegation voted for this, the other lodges voted against it wishing to pay the full amount starting with the 2006 dues. We will have to pay the full amount. They then voted to raise yearly membership dues to $20 starting this fall. That is about all on that subject.

With no further business the next meeting will be at Gabes by the Park June 8th. Sickness and distress, none to report. Motion made to adjourn the meeting was made and 2nd, passed.
