At 1800 hours the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Gambling Manager Don Bjorkman gave his report for April. A motion was made to accept the report, it was 2nd passed. The budget for June was presented. A motion was made to approve and send it on to the general membership meeting was made then 2nd passed. Bjorkman reported that it appeared Oakdale city council will be approving a gambling license for a local association and not approve our request. Requests, Ataxia Foundation for $1,000. We found out that Kyle Kaszynski's life insurance would not cover his death claim, a motion was made to change our donation to his wife from $1,0000, to $2000. Kyle was a member in good standing at the time of his death, motion approved. City of St Paul for $30.20, and City of Cottage Grove fee of $228.35. A motion was made to send these items onto the general membership meeting for approval was made and 2nd, passed. With the loss of our booth in Cottage Grove our lodge will be needing a way to raise money for charitable purpose. Fundraisers will be needed in the furture if we do not get another pull-tab location. With no further business a motion was made to adjourn the gambling meeting, 2nd passed.

1906 hrs the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. All lodge officers were present except to VP Sloan, and Sgt at Arms Ellison were present. They were excused from this meeting. A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. Dalbec gave the treasurers report, we have in our account. The checkbook and bank statement were available for review. A motion was made then 2nd to accept the report, passed. Gambling, Bjorkman gave his report on last months activity. A motion was made then 2nd to approve the report, passed. The budget for June was presented (lg1004 was available for review), a motion was made to accept the budget, 2nd, passed. The request for Ataxia Foundation for $1000 was presented, motion made to approve payment, 2nd passed. Motion made and 2nd to pay Kyles family $2,000 instead of $1000 was made then 2nd passed. Motion made to approve paying the fees to St Paul and Cottage Grove, 2nd passed.
New Business, Rothecker reported on the state lodge conference. The state lodge has approved using the legal defense plan as a way for local lodges to use the attorneys for contract negotiations and any grievance representation with the city or county labor negotiators. The department which chooses to do this has to have all its members in good standing with the FOP lodge and all would have to be paying the yearly legal defense plan cost per member. The state lodge is going ahead with plans to have a Policeman's Ball in St Cloud area this year. More information can be obtained through the state lodge. Dave Mueller asked for a donation to the upcoming Cops & Rodders car show at the state fair grounds. He presented it as a way to get the FOP name out to the public and other officers. A motion was made to approve spending $200 from our general account for this event, 2nd passed. Rothecker requested $200 for the St Paul PD softball team, they will be wearing a FOP logo on their shirts if approved. A motion was made to approve spending $200 for the softball team, 2nd passed. Old business, golf. The Jerry Vick Memorial Tournament is all set to go, with door prizes being bought and registrations coming in. Good of the order, it was brought to our attention that VP Sloan and his wife Jeannette just had a baby boy today. A motion was made to send a $25 gift card to them with our best wishes, 2nd passed. The summer meetings will be held at Alarys with a BBQ on August 16. The August meeting will be held on the third Wednesday instead of the 2nd wed that month. With no further business a motion to adjourn, with the next meeting set for June 14 at Alarys, passed.
