Lodge 1 Meeting
Georges Restaurant, St Paul
At 1800 hours the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Gambling manager D. Bjorkman gave
his report for April. A motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Bjorkman then gave his budget proposal
for June, , (lg1004 available for review). Motion was made to accept the budget as given, 2nd passed. Requests
for funding, Rutgers Reading Fund for $199, American Cancer Society $350, BSA Troop 294 for $50, and to pay the
City of St Paul gambling tax of $98.20. A motion was made to approve sending these items on to the general membership
for approval, 2nd passed. Bjorkman also advised that the City of Inver Grove Heights has approved our license
to operate in the Moose Club, Moose Lodge 1088. With no further business a motion was made to adjourn, 2nd passed.
1908 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Roll call of officers, all
were present except for the SSgt at arms. Secretaries report, a motion was made to waive reading of last months
minutes, 2nd passed. Secretary Dalbec then reported that we have over 50 members who have not responded to the
mailings for renewal. These persons would now be dropped from the membership list. The credentials for the upcoming
national convention have arrived and we have five voting members and one alternate who can go to the convention
in Louisville. The 2nd half per capita dues have been mailed in to national lodge to keep our lodge current. Treasurers
report, we currently have in our account. The checkbook and bank statements are available for review. Money is
still coming in for the golf tournament and expenditures still going out for it. A detailed account will be made
at next months meeting. A motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. Gambling report, D. Bjorkman gave his
report for April, along with his budget request. A motion was made to accept the April report, 2nd passed. A motion
was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. Requests for funding were presented and each was passed by the membership.
Golf tournament, scheduled for May 29 at Oak Glen. Rothecker advised that the hole signs were now made up and
began discussing raffle items. Some discussion on next years location for the tournament. Fundraising, the upcoming
pancake breakfast. This will be at Applebee's in St Paul. The next one will be in the fall either in IGH or Cottage
Grove and ticket prices will be $5. Lodge merchandise , it has been ordered and lodge cost will be around . Rothecker
made a report on the State Conference, he was elected 3rd Vice President of the State Lodge, congratulations!!!
He advised work was done and everyone seemed to have a good time. It was a great place to meet and greet other
lodge members from around the state. He has the conference minutes for members to review if you want. The state
lodge has ordered CHALLENGE COINS, which will be for sale at $10 per coin. New business, none. Old business, covered
in earlier discussion. Good of the order, health and welfare, with nothing else, a motion to adjourn until June
13, 2007 at Alary`s, at 1800 hrs, 2nd passed.
