The gambling meeting was called to order at 1830 hours. Gambling manager Don
Bjorkman gave his report for April. A motion was made to accept the report,
2nd passed. We are also due a refund from the state. The budget was presented
(lg1004 available for review). A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd
passed.
Requests, Karen’s Hope (Minnesota Medical Foundation) for $1000, LEMA
for an additional $3200, City of St Paul fee of $127.65, and BSA Troop 174 for
$100. A motion was made to approve the expenditures and send it on to the general
membership meeting for approval, 2nd passed. With no further business a motion
was made to adjourn the gambling meeting, 2nd passed.
1938 hours the general membership meeting was called to order. Roll call of
officers, President Rothecker, VP Sloan, 2nd VP Novak were not present. All
were excused from this meeting. Secretary Dalbec, Sgt at Arms S. Bjorkman, and
Trustee Don Bjorkman were present. Trustee Don Bjorkman presided over the general
membership meeting. A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes,
2nd passed.
Treasurers report, Dalbec gave the report . A motion was made to accept the
report, 2nd passed. The checkbook and bank statements were available for review.
Gambling report was given to the general membership. A motion was made to accept
the report and budget, 2nd passed. The lawful purpose expenditures were given.
Each was approved on a line vote for each item.
Gambling managers position was discussed. R. Dalbec will be taking the position
when it is vacated this fall by the current gambling manager Don Bjorkman. Dalbec
will give up the Treasurers job for the lodge. Sheryl Bjorkman agreed to take
over that job this fall.
The pull-tab booth at the Moose Lodge will be closed on Sundays with tab sales
to take place behind the bar. Saturday sales will begin at 1500 hours, this
will be the new summer hours.
Old business, golf. The tournament will be May 27, at Oak Glen. Registrations
are still coming in for it.
State conference update, the total cost for the lodge to operate the hospitality
room, and send five members came to $2,164. A motion was made that no payment
of $100 be paid to lodge 3, 2nd passed. The lodge had originally set cost for
hospitality room of $500.
New business, Moose lodge 1088 requested financial help in their upcoming Spring
into summer fundraising event. A motion was made to approve a donation of $100
to the Moose Lodge, 2nd passed.
The next meeting will be held the third Wednesday of June, June 18th at Alary`s
in St Paul at 1830 hours.
