Minnesota FOP Lodge 1 Meeting

At 1839 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by VP Sloan. The gambling
manager gave his report for April. The budget was presented (lg1004) available
for review. A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. Payment of
bills, MN Revenue, combined receipts tax due of, along with the current tax
bill. Payment last month to revenue was short , this will be included in this
months payment . City of St Paul tax $130, and 10% donation to Campfire Minnesota
for $50. A motion was made to approve the bills for payment, 2nd passed. Donation
requests, BSA Troop 15 $200, St Paul Park Athletic Association $1000, MN Air
National Guard Museum $500, Shriner Circus $200. A motion was made to approve
BSA Troop 15, MN Air Guard Museum requests, 2nd passed. Discussion on the Athletic
Association, our bylaws now indicate a $500 maximum donation to non law enforcement
groups. The request was modified to $500, a motion was made to approve the request,
2nd passed. The Shriner Circus request was tabled. No other requests nor any
other correspondence to report. Motion was made to close gambling, 2nd passed.
General membership meeting was called to order by VP Sloan at 1906 hrs. Roll
call of officers, President excused, 2nd VP excused, Treasurer excused, trustee
excused. Secretary and 1st VP present. A motion was made to wave reading of
last months minutes, 2nd passed. Treasurer report was given by the secretary.
We have --------in our account. Motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed.
Gambling manager gave his report to the membership. A motion was made to approve
the budget, 2nd passed. The bank book and schedule F were available for members
to review. Checkbook was reviewed and found to balance. The requests for funding
were reviewed. Motion was made to approve the requests for payment, 2nd passed.
Merchandise, nothing to report. Golf, we have about 14 teams signed up.
Old business, April conference. Some discussion on that, all current board members
who were running for reelection made it back into office. Our lodge has a bill
for over $1000 for members to attend it.
New business, Nuenfeldt had discussed a new fundraising idea with Applebee’s.
Called Dining to Donate, flyers would be handed out with our lodge logo and
if the person who has one goes to the cooperating Applebee’s get 20% of
the bill returned to our lodge. He will look into it further. Jacobsen reported
that he is working on updating the State Lodge bylaws.
With no other business, good of the order, none. Health and welfare, none.
