1800 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Gambling manager Bjorkman gave the budget report for December 2004. Motion to accept the report and budget made by Anderson, 2nd by Huffman, passed. Requests for donations; Dalbec, $500 for a charity event for a St Louis County Deputy who has cancer, Rothecker, $750 for a fund being set up for 3 St Paul Officers families. The officers are deployed in Iraq. Boy Scout Troop #174, $100, City of Cottage Grove 10% required donation of $517.05, St Paul city fee of $42.98. Motion made to approve and send the reports and requests on to the general meeting was made and 2nd, passed. With no further business motion made to adjourn the gambling meeting, 2nd passed.
President Rothecker called the general meeting to order at 1900 hrs. Motion made and 2nd to waive reading of last months minutes, passed. Secretary Dalbec gave the treasurers report. We have our general account with no large debts to be paid. The renewal notices will be going out to members for 2005. Le Clair and Associates audited our account in the annual audit and nothing irregular was found. The check book and bank statement was available for member's review. Motion was made and 2nd to accept the report, passed. The gambling report was made to the general membership and a motion was made to accept the budget, 2nd passed. Motion was made to approve the charitable requests, 2nd passed. New business; Don Bjorkman discussed having the FOP Lodge set up a Salvation Army donation pot this December. It would be for an eight hour shift with members donating a couple hours apiece to man it. It was agreed that we would do it and Don will set up the date and time for the event. Old business, golf tournament. It was discussed and agreed that we would continue with our annual lodge golf tournament. Jeff Rothecker would be the coordinator, Randy Dalbec would continue to be the treasurer for it. The date would remain the same, the day after Memorial Day. Rothecker will set up sponsor levels and organize the door prizes. The national convention will be in New Orleans, August 1 - 4, 2005. We can send 6 members from our lodge to it. Priority will be given to those who are most involved in the lodge. Dalbec advised the group that the Law Enforcement Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics is set for January 8th, 1pm at the White Bear Lake VFW. The FOP will again have a motor home there for FOP members to use for changing and food and refreshments. FOP Members who plunge will be sponsored by Lodge 1 for the $75 entry fee. This will only be for the White Bear Lake Plunge.

Dalbec also told the members that Special Olympics MN has removed Law Enforcement from the header on any advertising concerning the event.
It will be under the Law Enforcement Torch Run logo. After some discussion it was decided that President Rothecker will send Special Olympics MN a letter outline our
concerns with the dropping of Law Enforcement from the plunge logo. The plunge in MN had started with MN FOP lodge 1 (Dave Mars) working with Special Olympics to put on the event and we our concerned of the elimination of law enforcement from the event logo. Our lodge will be donating $7500 to this plunge and we have just given $2500 to the Special Olympics Draft Party, for a total of $10,000. The lodges Christmas Party will be December 8th at Alary`s. Bjorkman will arrange the food for the event. The meeting will be a short one and we hope that members will participate in this event.
