1806 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Gambling manager Bjorkman gave the report for October. Huffman made a motion to accept the report, 2nd by Novak, passed. Budget for December total of $17,165. Motion by Sloan, 2nd by Novak to accept the budget, passed. (Lg1004 available for review). Donation requests. Mt Airy Boys and Girls Club, $100, Milwaukee Public Schools (Camp Side by Side) $500. Fee to be paid to City of St Paul $66.40, City of Cottage Grove $782.52. Motion made by Dalbec, 2nd by Sloan to accept the donation requests and pay the fees, passed. VP Sloan had a request for a donation to the City of Inver Grove Heights for police tasers. This request was discussed then tabled for VP Sloan to have time to get more information from the city. Bjorkman then reported on the future of a pull tab booth opening in the new DeMoris in Oakdale. He will be following up on that and report back at the next meeting. Once DeMoris in Cottage Grove close's any future donation requests will have to be tabled. A motion was made to approve $600 from the gambling account to match our members generous donations totaling $600 for the Katrina Relief fund through the National Lodge, 2nd passed. A motion was made to adjourn the gambling meeting, it was 2nd.


1900 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Lodge Officers present were President Rothecker, VP Sloan, 2nd VP Novak, Secretary/Treasurer Dalbec, and Trustee Huffman. A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes, 2nd passed. Dalbec gave the financial report. Currently we have in our account, $600 is Katrina donations, and upcoming golf tournament. (The checkbook and bank statement were available for review.) A motion was made and 2nd to accept the report. Passed. Dalbec also reported that over half the members have renewed so far. Bjorkman gave the gambling report to the membership; motion was made to accept the report, 2nd passed. A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. A motion was made to approve the spending and donation requests, 2nd passed. Old business, golf tournament. The lodge has been contacted by Oak Glen telling us that they look forward to having the tournament back at Oak Glen. Rothecker will be contacting them again to see if we can get more favorable rates for the next tournament. Bjorkman is looking into bell ringing for the Salvation Army this December, he will notify us of the date and time for this event. New business. Election of officers, up for election is VP, Secretary Treasurer, and Trustee. Nomination was made and 2nd for Sloan to keep his position as VP. No other nominations were made. Motion made for a white ballot, 2nd passed. Dalbec was nominated for Secretary Treasurer. No other nominations were made. Motion was made for a white ballot, 2nd passed. Huffman withdrew his name for Trustee. Donald Bjorkman was nominated for trustee. No other nominations were made, motion made for a white ballot, 2nd passed. Next meeting will be held at Alary`s Bar, at 2000 hrs December 14. For the upcoming Christmas party a motion was made by Novak to pay up to three hundred dollars out of the general fund. It was 2nd by Huffman, passed. There will be an open bar at Alarys (up to $100) for members to come and enjoy. There will be a Christmas get together at the Cherokee Restaurant in WSP; the lodge will cover the first two hundred dollars of the food bill for members wanting to attend. Members must RSVP Randy Dalbec at least one week in advance to attend for reservation purpose. This will take place at 1730 hours. RSVP at dubec@aol.com. Good of the order; Dan Kreager has been moved to his mothers home in Fergus Falls for recuperation and Lynn Gabbert is in United Hospital. Motion made to spend $50 for a flower arrangement for Lynn, and $25 gift for Corey Slifko new baby boy. With no further business, motion made to adjourn, 2nd passed.
