Lodge 1 Meeting
Alary`s, St Paul
November 12, 2008

At 1830 hours the gambling meeting was called to order by VP Sloan. Gambling manager R. Dalbec gave his report for the month of October, 2008. A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. The budget was then presented (lg1004 available for review). A motion was made to approve the budget, 2nd passed. Requests for funding, Moose Lodge will be having a Brunch with Santa for community children, the request was for money to purchase the food. Motion was made to approve up to
$100 for the event, 2nd passed. City of St Paul fee of $149.43, and City of St Paul 10% donation of $100. The donation will go to BSA Troop 274 for the amount of $100. A motion was made to approve and pay the fee and donation, 2nd passed. Dalbec reported that Lewis, Kish & Associates LTD requested that we consider them for our accountant for this tax year. Tabled until next meeting. With no further business a motion was made to adjourn, 2nd passed.

At 1900 hours the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. Roll call of lodge officers was made, all present. A motion to waive reading of last months minutes was made and 2nd , passed. Treasurer reported that we have in our general account. Motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed.
Gambling, Dalbec gave his report to the general membership. A motion was made to approve the report, 2nd passed. The requests were discussed and a motion was made to approve the requests, 2nd passed.
Merchandise sales, Rothecker advised that some sales were made at the last fundraiser at Alary`s.
Discussion on fundraisers for the lodge, January 31 at Eagan Applebee’s and March 31 at the WSP Applebee’s. We will be looking for members to help out on these events.
Rothecker reported that January 17 is the FOP Ball, and discussion concerning the lodge paying $60 per person to attend. This is no longer a fundraiser for the State Lodge. Novak made a motion to approve paying the $60 per person ticket price out of general funds, 2nd by Sheryl Bjorkman. The motion was voted down by the members present, motion fails.
Some discussion on another FOP bus cruise between Alary`s and the 10-29 club in MPLS. This is another recruitment event put on between the bars.
August 16 - 20, 2009 is the national FOP convention in Long Beach. Anyone interested in going should contact President Rothecker ASAP.
Election for 1st VP, and Trustee. White ballot for 1st VP, Pat Sloan will remain in that position. We had two members who were interested in the Trustee position, both were unable to attend this meeting. The election will be held for that position at the December meeting.
