At 1830 hrs the gambling meeting was called to order by P. Sloan. The gaming
manager gave his report for October 2009. (lg1004 available for review of other
line items). Motion made to approve the expenses, 2nd passed. Lawful purpose
expenditures, St Paul tax $108.17, BSA #174 $110 (10% donation), US Treasury
$19.95 (paid Oct 23, 2009), Donna Wilken
$1000 (husband Mike killed line of duty Ramsey County S.O. while directing traffic).
Neighbors INC. $1000, Inver Hills Community College Foundation $1000. Motion
made to approve the expenditures, 2nd passed. A request was received for $100
donation for Moose Lodge annual Brunch With Santa December 12, 2009. Motion
made and 2nd to approve the donation. The checkbook, schedule F and bank statement
was available for review, along with G-1 of revenue. The letter from IRS was
presented to the members for review of the $19.95 charge for 990T tax. Miscellaneous
correspondence was also presented. Motion was made then 2nd to adjourn, passed.
General membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. All
officers were present. A motion was made to waive reading of last months minutes,
2nd passed. S. Bjorkman gave the treasurer report. She had the bank statement
and checkbook available for review. Some discussion on wanting a more thorough
report next time. Motion made to approve the report , 2nd passed. Gaming manager
gave his report to the general membership, motion made to approve it, 2nd passed.
Budget was reviewed, motion made to approve it,2nd passed. Donations were approved
as read. Mike Norstrem reported that a new site for gaming might be available.
He will follow-up on the matter and report back at next meeting. Golf tournament,
it will remain at same location Oak Glen in Stillwater MN. Discussion on sponsors.
Old business, discussion on political endorsements. Motion made to endorse Peter
Opurt for Washington County Attorney, 2nd passed. Rothecker will send him a
letter of endorsement.
New business, discussion on how to improve our website.
Elections, Lodge President, 2nd VP, Secretary, and Treasurer. Craig Nelson was
nominated for 2nd VP, Rick Novak declining to run again for that office. With
no other nominations a white ballot was called for. This was seconded passed.
Officers for two year term are President Jeff Rothecker, 2nd VP Craig Nelson,
Secretary Randy Dalbec, and Treasurer Sheryl Bjorkman.
Good of the order, Welfare, motion to adjourn was made, 2nd . Adjourned until
December 9th at 1830 hour, Alary`s Bar. This will also be our Christmas Party.
