Minnesota FOP Lodge 1 Meeting

President Rothecker called gambling meeting to order at 1800 hrs. Present were Rothecker, VP Pat Sloan, Sec. Treasurer
Dalbec, Huffman, F. Anderson, R. Novak, C. Slifko, and gambling manager Bjorkman. Bjorkman gave the report for
August.. (LG1004 available for review). Motion made by Huffman, and 2nd by Sloan to accept the report. Passed.
Lawful purpose expenditures, City of Cottage Grove $922.17, LeClaire& Associates (audit) 3300.00, and requested
donation for deceased FOP member Fred Fanning family of $2000, City of Igh for $3000, and Special Olympics (draft
party and Polar Bear Plunge) $10,000. Motion made by Anderson, 2nd by Dalbec to approve the expenditures and send
them on to the general membership meeting, motion passed. Bjorkman also advised us that the MN Dept of Revenue
was close to an agreement on our audit, and it would be in our favor. Motion made to close the meeting, 2nd adjourned.
At 1900 hrs the general membership meeting was called to order by President Rothecker. A motion was made to waive
reading of last month's minutes; it was 2nd and passed. Treasurer Dalbec gave the report on our general account.
After paying out for golf sponsorships and the payment on our post office box, we have in our account. Motion made
by Sloan and 2nd by Huffman to accept the report, passed. Bjorkman gave the gambling report. Motion made by Anderson
and 2nd by Huffman to accept the report and approve the budget. Passed. C. Slifko advised the members of Brother
Fred Fannings passing away due to cancer. The request to help his family was for $1,500. The request was revised
to $2000, as discussed in the gambling meeting. Motion made by Anderson and 2nd by Dalbec to approve the payment,
passed. Request for $3000 was made by J. Salmey of Lodge 1 to pay for an id-making machine for IGH PD. The payment
would be made to the City of IGH and not to the PD. Motion made by Dalbec and 2nd by Sloan to approve the request,
passed. Motion made an 2nd to pay Cottage Grove and LeClaire, 2nd passed. Dalbec made a motion to approve the $10,000
for Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge and a portion not to exceed $2500 to the draft party. 2nd passed. Bjorkman
reported that the annual state conference would be next April at Craiguns as it was this year. Also the National
FOP conference will be in New Orleans, August 1 thru the 4, 2005. The state lodge will be paying for all delegates
to attend. Anyone wishing to be put on a delegate list should notify Randy Dalbec at MNFOP1@aol.com. With no further
business the meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is set for October 13 at Jerseys Bar in IGH.
